Last month we did something we had been wanting to do for a while. We threw a party. Not a open house, not a market update seminar. A real, honest-to-goodness night out with the people who matter most to us.
On Saturday, August 15th, about 70 of our favorite people joined us at Valencia Lanes for Strike and Sip, our adults-only client appreciation event. Neon lights, bowling balls, a photo booth featuring giant fat head cutouts of the team, and tacos from the incredible Hilarios Tacos. It was exactly the kind of evening we had hoped for.
The Night in Pictures
The neon bowling setup at Valencia Lanes was the perfect backdrop. There is something about blacklights and glowing pins that turns even the most competitive bowler into a kid again. We had lanes full of laughter, friendly trash talk, and at least a few truly impressive gutter balls that we will not name names about.
The photo booth was an instant hit. If you have not yet seen what it looks like to pose next to a giant cardboard cutout of Kathy's face, you missed out. Our clients were incredibly good sports about it and the photos that came out of that corner of the bowling alley were genuinely priceless.
Hilarios Tacos kept everyone well fed throughout the evening. If you have not tried their food, do yourself a favor. The taco plates were a crowd favorite and we heard more than a few people asking where they could find them again.
Our team was there for the full evening. Not to talk shop, not to hand out business cards, but just to spend time with the people who have trusted us with one of the biggest decisions of their lives. Evenings like this are the whole point! Check out the highlight reel on instagram here:
What I tend to remember most throughout the years of my career is not the closings or the sales numbers, it's the people.
When someone lets you into one of the biggest decisions of their life, that means something. We do not take it lightly and we do not forget it once the paperwork is signed. Client appreciation events are not something we do for show. They are just us saying thank you in the most genuine way we know how.
Strike and Sip was exactly that. Loud, fun, and full of people we genuinely adore...and with tacos, of course!
